Autumn Orchard Crostini

Ingredients

  • 1 small baguette, sliced into 1/2-inch thick rounds
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 4 ounces high
  • quality Brie cheese, sliced
  • 1 Honeycrisp or Granny Smith apple, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons raw honey
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves
  • Pinch of sea salt and freshly ground black pepper

Prep Steps

  1. 1Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet.
  2. 2Brush both sides of the baguette slices lightly with olive oil and season with a pinch of salt and pepper. Bake for 5 minutes
  3. 3minutes, or until lightly golden and crisp. Remove from oven.
  4. 4Top each toasted crostini with a slice of Brie cheese and two to three thin slices of apple.
  5. 5Return the baking sheet to the oven and bake for an additional 3
  6. 6minutes, or until the Brie is soft and just beginning to melt.
  7. 7Immediately after removing from the oven, drizzle each crostini generously with raw honey and sprinkle with fresh thyme leaves. Serve warm.
