Ingredients

  • 1 baguette, sliced into 1/2-inch thick rounds
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 pound fresh Dungeness or lump crab meat, picked clean
  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice, plus more for garnish
  • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh dill
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • Pinch of black pepper
  • Microgreens or chives for garnish

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Brush both sides of the baguette slices with olive oil and arrange them on a baking sheet.
  3. Toast for 8 minutes

  5. In a small bowl, gently combine the crab meat, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, dill, salt, and pepper. Be careful not to break up the crab too much.

  8. To assemble, spread a generous layer of the mashed avocado onto each toasted crostini.
