  • baguette, sliced into 1/2-inch thick rounds
  • tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • ounces soft goat cheese (chèvre)
  • 1/4 cup dried figs, finely chopped
  • tablespoons dark rum
  • tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup walnuts, toasted and roughly chopped
  • tablespoon honey, for drizzling

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Brush both sides of the baguette slices with melted butter and arrange them on a baking sheet. Toast for 8 minutes
