Smoked Steak and Bold Blue Crostini

This crostini is a sophisticated, savory bite that captures the essence of a gourmet steakhouse. Tender, thinly sliced smoked steak is paired with the sharp, creamy tang of blue cheese and a hint of sweet caramelized onion. It's the perfect robust appetizer to celebrate the man of the hour.

Ingredients

  • baguette, sliced into 1/2-inch thick rounds
  • tablespoons olive oil
  • oz thinly sliced smoked sirloin or flank steak

  • quality blue cheese, crumbled
  • 1/4 cup caramelized onions
  • tablespoon balsamic glaze
  • Fresh chives, finely chopped, for garnish

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Brush both sides of the baguette slices with olive oil and toast on a baking sheet for 8 minutes
