  • 1 small baguette, thinly sliced and toasted
  • 4 ounces gourmet pastrami, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons whole grain mustard
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened

  • 1/4 cup cornichons or small dill pickles, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Pinch of black pepper

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Arrange baguette slices on a baking sheet, brush lightly with olive oil, and toast for 5-7 minutes minutes until golden and crisp.
  2. In a small bowl, combine softened cream cheese with chopped fresh dill and a pinch of black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Spread a thin layer of the dill cream cheese mixture onto each toasted crostini.
  4. Top each crostini with a small piece of thinly sliced gourmet pastrami, artfully folded.
  5. Place a few thinly sliced cornichons or dill pickles on top of the pastrami.
  6. Drizzle a tiny amount of whole grain mustard over each crostini for a gourmet touch.
