Creamy melted brie provides a rich base, beautifully complemented by the bright, tangy cranberry sauce and the aromatic, woodsy notes of fresh rosemary. It's an elegant and easy appetizer that instantly brings warmth and cheer to any winter gathering.

Ingredients

  • baguette, sliced into 1/2-inch thick rounds
  • tablespoons olive oil
  • oz wheel of brie cheese, rind removed and cut into small pieces
  • 1/4 cup whole cranberry sauce (canned or homemade)
  • tablespoon chopped fresh rosemary
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • tablespoon toasted chopped walnuts (for garnish)

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Brush both sides of the baguette slices with olive oil and arrange them on a baking sheet.
  2. Bake the crostini for 8 minutes
  3. minutes, or until lightly golden and crisp. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
  4. Top each crostini with a piece of brie cheese and a small dollop of cranberry sauce. Sprinkle with sea salt, black pepper, and half of the chopped rosemary.
  5. Return the crostini to the oven for 3 minutes
