A vibrant and zesty appetizer inspired by the classic Cosmopolitan cocktail. Creamy goat cheese is brightened with fresh lime and orange liqueur, then topped with a sweet-tart cranberry compote. This sophisticated bite offers a perfect balance of citrus, sweetness, and tang.

Ingredients

  • baguette, sliced into 1/2-inch rounds
  • tbsp olive oil
  • oz soft goat cheese (chèvre)
  • tbsp orange liqueur (e.g., Cointreau or Triple Sec)
  • tsp lime zest
  • 1/2-Pinch of salt
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • tbsp water
  • Pinch of salt
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Brush baguette slices with olive oil and toast for 8 minutes

  3. Prepare the cranberry compote: Combine cranberries, sugar, and water in a small saucepan. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes
