A perfect blend of sweet and tangy, this crostini features creamy goat cheese topped with a bright, homemade blueberry-balsamic reduction. The toasted baguette provides a satisfying crunch, making this an elegant and simple appetizer.

  • baguette, sliced into 1/2-inch thick rounds
  • tablespoons olive oil
  • oz soft goat cheese (chèvre)
  • 1/2 cup fresh blueberries
  • tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • tablespoon granulated sugar
  • teaspoon fresh thyme leaves
  • Pinch of black pepper

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Brush baguette slices with olive oil and toast for 8 minutes

  3. While the bread toasts, prepare the reduction. Combine blueberries, balsamic vinegar, and sugar in a small saucepan over medium heat.
