A sophisticated bite that celebrates the flavors of France, this crostini pairs the sharp, salty tang of genuine Roquefort cheese with the sweet, earthy notes of fig jam and toasted walnuts. The crisp baguette base and drizzle of honey create a perfect balance of texture and taste, making it an ideal appetizer for any celebration.

Ingredients

  • baguette, sliced into 1/2-inch thick rounds
  • tablespoons olive oil
  • oz Roquefort cheese, crumbled
  • 1/4-quality honey
  • 1/4 cup walnuts, roughly chopped and toasted
  • tablespoon high

  • Pinch of fresh thyme leaves (optional, for garnish)

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Brush both sides of the baguette slices with olive oil and arrange them on a baking sheet. Toast for 5 minutes

  3. While the crostini are still warm, spread a thin layer of fig jam onto each slice.
  4. Evenly distribute the crumbled Roquefort cheese over the jam.
